Messy hair, don’t care.
I love waking up in Mateo’s arms.
I’m naked, but I can’t bring myself to care. He’s already seen me, so I don’t bother trying to hide myself. Plus, he’s my mate. He’s allowed to look if he wants to. And I know from his thoughts that he wants to look. He’s very attracted to me.
Mateo leans forward and kisses me on the tip of my nose. “Good morning.”
I grin. “Morning.”
Mateo sits up, groaning. “I have sand in places where there should never be sand.”
I giggle, sitting up too. I also have sand all over me as well, but I don’t care. My hair is sticking up and I am in desperate need of a shower, but I have never been happier than I am right now. I got to wake up in Kai’s arms yesterday and Mateo’s today. Tomorrow is still up in the air, but I can’t wait to know.
“Your hair is fine,” Mateo assures me, reminding me that he is in my head.
“We completed our mate bond last night.” I shake my head, like I still can’t believe it. Mateo and Kai are both mine. Now I just need to complete my bond with Tucker and Levi. I want to make them all mine. I need everybody to know that these beautiful men belong to me.
“Speaking of the others, we should head back. They’re probably worried.” Mateo stands and begins getting dressed.
I follow his lead. “They’re not worried. Kai knows where we were last night. If he didn’t, they would’ve all come looking already.”
Mateo grins. “Levi and Tucker are going to be so jealous.”
I roll my eyes. “No, they’re not.”
“Trust me, they will be. I was so jealous when I walked in and knew that you and Kai had completed your bond.” Mateo slips his shirt over his head and watches me as I finish getting dressed.
As I slip my shirt over my head, he is thinking about how stupid he was to turn me down when I first wanted to complete our bond. But now that I’m in his head, I can feel that he thought he didn’t have a choice. He really thought he was going to hurt me.
I approach him, putting my hand on his forearm. “Hey, that’s behind us now. We’re mated. You’re mine, and I am yours. No going back.”
His eyes meet mine and his lips turn up in the corner. “How are you already so good at reading me?”
I smile, not telling him that I could read him even before we completed the mate bond. It’s just amplified now.
“Come on. Let’s head back so we can shower before breakfast.” He grabs onto my hand, pulling me out of the small space where we made love. I hope we come back here often and get some alone time.
The sun is really bright as we walk out the door and down the stairs. It’s already warm this morning and I’m itchy from all the places the sand is sticking right now.
